  • Post category:Uncategorised

Dear colleagues, As we move closer to the ÉADHC General Assembly (scheduled for April 14, 2026, in Paris), our internal discussions have reached a final point. While AI offers immense potential for public efficiency, its impact on Human Rights remains the most critical challenge of our decade. Dear colleagues and partners, As we prepare for the upcoming General Assembly of the Association "Academic Studies of Human Rights and Constitutionalism" (ÉADHC) on April 14, 2026, we are putting another vital issue on our strategic agenda: The Right to Housing. Launching a New Project: AI and Human Rights – Your Input Needed!

  • Post category:Uncategorised

Dear friends and colleagues, Over the past months, we’ve seen how rapidly artificial intelligence is reshaping governance, public services, and influences human rights – more and more authorities, international organisations and researchers pay attention to this fact. Amongst the last interesting events – the International Criminal Court will co-host the event on AI ! At EADHC  we believe these developments call for the attention on how can human rights principles be effectively embedded "by design" into AI systems, especially at the local and municipal level? That’s why we are excited to announce that we are launching a new project at the intersection of AI and Law / Human Rights. The exact shape is still taking form - it could become: - a series of expert webinars and policy briefs, - a comparative study of AI use in local governance across Council of Europe member states, - practical guidelines for municipalities…

Housing Rights in Times of Crisis: From Strasbourg to Ukraine

How do we transform the right to housing from a legal concept into a reality for millions displaced by war?Recently we co-organised a high-level workshop at the University of Strasbourg (ITI MAKErS), marking the end of Dr. Natalia Mishyna’s visiting fellowship. The discussion was a powerful reminder that housing is not just about a roof — it’s the foundation for dignity and social integration.Key points:-the French model: exploring how the logement social system can offer structural solutions for Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction.-the protection gap: addressing the urgent housing needs of Ukrainians under temporary protection in the EU.-legislative reform: moving toward a municipal-led housing policy aligned with the European Social Charter.Special thanks to the speakers from SAGE Laboratory, Palacký University Olomouc, and the Council of Europe for their invaluable expertise. The post-event brief will come soon.
