Done: International Monograph on Public Law Published!

We are happy to announce the successful completion of one of our four key projects for 2025! In collaboration with National University “Odesa Law Academy” and Riga Nordic University, the Association "ÉADHC" has published the collective monograph: 📖 “Public Law, Human Rights, and Decentralization in France and Ukraine: From History to European Integration”.This scholarly work brings together researchers from Ukraine, France, and other EU countries to discuss:1) Human rights in the digital age and beyond.2) Decentralization and public authority challenges.3) The historical evolution of public law.The monograph is published by the European house “Baltija Publishing” (Latvia) and is assigned with ISBN and DOI for each section.This publication marks the final stage of our 2025 research initiative, fostering academic ties between Ukraine and the European Union.🔗 Read the full work here: https://lnkd.in/erhbzJ-V

Launching a New Project: AI and Human Rights – Your Input Needed!

Dear friends and colleagues, Over the past months, we’ve seen how rapidly artificial intelligence is reshaping governance, public services, and influences human rights – more and more authorities, international organisations and researchers pay attention to this fact. Amongst the last interesting events – the International Criminal Court will co-host the event on AI ! At EADHC  we believe these developments call for the attention on how can human rights principles be effectively embedded "by design" into AI systems, especially at the local and municipal level? That’s why we are excited to announce that we are launching a new project at the intersection of AI and Law / Human Rights. The exact shape is still taking form - it could become: - a series of expert webinars and policy briefs, - a comparative study of AI use in local governance across Council of Europe member states, - practical guidelines for municipalities…

Adelaida Kovalkovska – on rebuilding Ukraine

Natalia Mishyna, one of EADHC founders, speaks: today I present one of my best friends Adelaida Kovalkovska. She is an electrophysicist (specialising in electroacoustics and ultrasound), now retired. Adelaida has 3 children, so she advises on youth and education.Before the war, Adelaida lived in the centre of Odessa and spent a lot of time doing sports and cultural activities. She was my main partner in crime when it came to the opera, ballet and other theatres. Now she lives in Ulm, Germany.Adelaida likes to see that children and young people in Germany have a very serious extracurricular education - in sport, music, art. The events for children and youth are always organised at the highest level with the participation of the best possible professionals (for example, in Odessa the ballets for children always use phonograms, never live orchestra - but in Germany there are spectacles with the orchestra, always with…

How do you know you have found an interesting topic for research that is useful for society?

Here is an example: I'm designing the brochure for our project #WomenRebuildingUA, and one of the answers to the question: What would you like to 'bring back' from European countries to help rebuild Ukraine? is 'targeted prevention of domestic violence at all levels, starting from the local level'. See our other ongoing project - developing a policy and awareness toolkit for local and regional authorities to effectively tackle domestic violence. Such synergy always gives more energy to push research forward!
