Our project, dedicated to the issues of home violence in Ukraine and how the local and regional authorities can help - is still in progress.We are very happy to have Jeyhun Garajayev (Ceyhun Qaracayev) as an expert. He is both the researcher and a practicioner - and we are proud he explores this issue internationally. Here is the last event he participated in as an expert:'On November 28, 2025, a conference entitled "The Role of Community Leaders in Building a Safe Life: A New Social Approach in Surakhani" was held jointly by the State Committee for Family, Women, and Children's Issues and the Surakhani executive branch. The event was organized as part of the "16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence" campaign'.Many thanks for joining our project pro bono, Professor Garajayev. We hope that your comparative experience will enrich it.

How do you know you have found an interesting topic for research that is useful for society?

Here is an example: I'm designing the brochure for our project #WomenRebuildingUA, and one of the answers to the question: What would you like to 'bring back' from European countries to help rebuild Ukraine? is 'targeted prevention of domestic violence at all levels, starting from the local level'. See our other ongoing project - developing a policy and awareness toolkit for local and regional authorities to effectively tackle domestic violence. Such synergy always gives more energy to push research forward!
