Today we introduce Dr Olha Tylchyk. At the beginning of the war she was a professor of administrative law at the University of State Tax Servants of Ukraine, Irpin, Ukraine. She left Ukraine with her daughter and parents in March 2022 and has been living in Spain since then. De. Tylchyk is now working at the University of Barcelona. She continues her research work in collaboration with colleagues from different countries and creates a safe environment for her daughter.
Bridging Two Worlds:
If I could bring one thing from Spain to help rebuild Ukraine, it would be the area of urban mobility for the transport of goods and people, especially with regard to the mobility of people with disabilities. This area is one of the most sensitive for Ukraine due to the destruction caused and its importance in restoring normal life.
To advance this mission, I seek to collaborate with organisations, researchers and funders who share a vision of a sustainable, community-driven future for Ukraine as a country that is part of Europe and that upholds the highest values of real democracy.
