The Étude Académique des Droits de l’Homme et du Constitutionnalisme (EADHC) is proud to join as a co-organiser of the International Round Table on “Economic-Legal Issues in Building a Sustainable Future: Integrating ESG, Human Rights and Sustainable Development for Ukraine’s Economic Growth”, to be held on 24 October 2024 at KU Leuven University, Belgium.
The round table will bring together legal and economic scholars, MSCA4Ukraine researchers, and policy experts to address regulatory, institutional, and human rights dimensions of Ukraine’s sustainable recovery and integration into the EU framework. The event is jointly hosted by KU Leuven and SAGE Laboratory of the University of Strasbourg, France.
Why It Matters to EADHC
This round table resonates with EADHC’s mission to advance human rights and constitutionalism through research, education, and legal expertise. At a time when Ukraine is rebuilding, sustainability must be grounded in the rule of law, human dignity, and inclusive economic development. This event provides a unique platform to reflect on how legal frameworks can support Ukraine’s long-term growth and democratic resilience.
Our Contribution
As co-organisers, EADHC will:
- present research on the role of local and regional authorities in shaping rights-based sustainability;
- contribute to dialogue on human rights integration into ESG and economic policy frameworks;
- support interdisciplinary cooperation between legal scholars and economists;
- help disseminate round table outcomes across academic and policy networks in Europe.
Impact and Visibility
This round table is part of the MSCA4Ukraine programme funded by the European Union. It highlights the academic contribution of Ukrainian researchers in exile and reinforces international cooperation in support of Ukraine’s transformation.
